Batch & Co is a zero landfil coffee shop. We serve our own 'Batch blend' espresso ethically sourced & roasted by London's Caravan Coffee Roasters. All our coffees are roasted weekly & used within 21 days of being roasted to ensure the best quality is delivered by our qualified Baristas, time & time again. We use Estate Dairy milk, and offer dairy alternatives oat & soya.
We are featured in the Official London Coffee Guide & have won Time Out awards for best coffee & Business awards for best newcomer, best customer service & most sustainable hospitality business.
Our aim is a simple one. We are passionate people who want to serve great, yummy, quality products whilst ensuring Batch & Co is a relaxing & inclusive place for anyone in the community to kick back and chill out.
We are an Independent Coffee Shop aiming to serve truly amazing coffee each & every time.
We also offer artisan pastries & cakes, organic sourdough sandwiches, and simple brunch and lunch options every day from 9am both to take away & eat in. We offer alternatives for gluten free & vegan diets too including artisan sourdough brought in from a local award winning bakery
We are also a deli shop, stocking good quality artisan local products.
Our focus is on fresh, ethical & good quality ingredients sourced locally whenever possible.
Our Coffee
Our goal at Batch & Co is to only source coffee that is ethically sourced. We have therefore chosen our House Espresso 'Batch blend' with this in mind, using Caravan Coffee Roasters based in Kings Cross. We also offer a single origin which is changed regularly on our Batch Brew drip filter.
Caravan Coffee Roasters invests a lot of time into the process of sourcing and are continually working on how they approach green coffee. With their direct trade sourcing they believe you must be present and accessible to the producers. They do this by travelling to origin monthly, continually fostering and nurturing the relationships they have established.
By sharing information and collaborating together, they can help to add value to the whole process and this ultimately means they are paying the producer more for a better quality product. They only work with coffee importers who share our values and methodology and who have extensive relationships with the coffee producers of the coffee we buy.
They recognise the complexities of sourcing quality green coffee with true mindfulness to social and environmental impact and therefore this matches Batch & Co's own ethos.
